Different Types of Women’s Handbags
With such diversity in women’s handbags there are really only 6 types of various handbags you can buy:
- Shoulder Bag – A classic bag that comes in small and large sizes. Usually rounded at the bottom and used in everyday activity.
- Clutch Bag – An old-fashion purse that made a comeback recently. Usually designed in smaller sizes it’s not an everyday bag but a bag for special occasions or fancy dress parties.
- Satchel – Similar to a shoulder bag however much larger and usually used to carry books.
- Duffle Bag – Mostly used for travelling or sports, the duffle bag was made in Belgium. Duffle bags were originally used by sailors.
- Tote Bag – Comes with two short straps and usually medium sized handbags. Usually used as a shopping bag for large items.
- Messenger Bag – A large bag with a single strap designed to be worn across the body. Often water proof and used by couriers.
