How To Make A Do It Yourself Sun Tent

If you're camping out or simply enjoying the sun, its important to have proper protection from the dangerous sun rays. However, there are alternatives to sun tents that you can make from everyday items.

What you'll need

• Tarp
• Poncho Poles / Poles
• Tarp Rope / Rope
• Rope
• Poncho

Step 1
Firstly figure out what you have to use. Not everyone carries a tarp around but if you happen to have one it'll make a great sun tent or shelter. If you have something small like a poncho you can still make a great sun tent.

Step 2
Find an area where 2 trees are close but if the trees are too far apart you'll need to use rope or poles to tie up your tarp or poncho. When using poles make sure you stick them into the ground firmly so they won't move around.

Step 3
If you're using a tarp, poncho or other materials tie a rope to the ends and rope them around the trees or pole. Pull to ensure that its tight. You can use a pole to hold up the center if you have any left over. Place the backside of it towards the wind so the wind won't blow your tent away.
